ANNABERGITE on CALCITE

Lavrion District Mines, Attiki Prefecture, Greece, Europe

Status
Available

3.5 x 4.4 x 4 cm (Small Cabinet)

Bright mint-green crystals of Annabergite form radiating clusters dotted over dog's tooth spar Calcite. The Annabergite crystals are transparent and bladed measuring to nearly 2mm in length, forming spiky ball-like clusters to 4mm wide. The pale yellow scalenohedral crystals of Calcite have translucent edges and line the cavity in the matrix, somewhat resembling a mouth full of teeth! A very presentable example of Annabergite from the famous Greek location.
