Many of you know that in our early days we were avid field collectors. One locality of particular interest was the Grandview Mine in the Grand Canyon. Wayne worked closely with the Park Services there and mapped the mine for them. Of course, we collected as we went along too! (Yes, with their permission) Wayne knew that he had definitely found a new mineral there and it has bounced around several professionals to be identified and at long last...

we now have a new mineral to called "Grandviewite" .
